I was featured AGAIN!! On The Ribbon Retreat's blog.
What a fun bow, I definitely wanted to share this with you guys too!!
Hi there! It's me again, Ashley, from Sweet Mama J's Boutique.
I've also started a new blog, called Project Bazaar. It's still really new, but come check it out!
Remember how I told you that I LOVE The Ribbon Retreat's beautiful assortment of ribbon, I still cannot get enough!!
Today, I am really excited to share another hair clip tutorial with you!
This one is so quick and easy to make, you can make one for every outfit.
Let's gather our supplies and get started!
The supplies I used:
3 - 8 inch lengths 3/8" Swiss Dots in aquamarine with white
3 - 7.25 inch lengths 3/8" Sheer Delight in white
1 - lined alligator clip
1- 12mm Rhinestone in Iridescent
Fold your 8 inch length ribbon in half and make a crease. Lay ribbon flat.
Place a small dot of glue in the crease.
Take
one end of the ribbon and make a sideways loop, (the side of the ribbon
that is facing up while the ribbon is laying flat will be still facing
up after secured in the middle.)
Repeat with the other end, making a figure 8.
Repeat with other two 8 inch lengths, and all three 7.25 inch lengths.
You will now have 6 figure 8 loops.
Place a small dot of glue on one of your figure 8 loops.
Place a second figure 8 loop on top of the first one making an X or butterfly shape.
Place a small dot of glue in the middle of your butterfly shape and lay your third figure 8 on top making a flower.
Repeat process with the three remaining figure 8s.
You will now have 2 flowers.
Place a dot of glue in the middle of your larger flower.
Press firmly.
Place a small dot of glue on the back of your rhinestone.
Place the rhinestone in the middle of your flower.
Press firmly.
Place a line of glue on the top of your alligator clip.
Place the flower on top.
Press firmly.
That's it! You have a darling flower hair clip, ready to go!
Thanks to The Ribbon Retreat for allowing me to share with you once again!
I LOVE this bow! I hope I can make it as cute as you did!
